The fibrotic process is a dysregulated wound-healing response, driven by the persistent activation of fibroblasts (or myofibroblasts), which results in the deposition of excessive extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins such as collagen [4], a key feature of pathological tissue remodelling in fibrotic disorders [5,6,7,8]
These may include: Upset stomach Heartburn Abdominal pain Vomiting Nausea Constipation Diarrhea Dizziness Fatigue Mild symptoms tend to resolve once the body starts to get used to the medication
Its also worth noting that GLP-1s can have challenging side effects that are mostly GI-related, like vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, and constipation
